Pros and cons of iEarthquakes app for iPhone and iPad

iEarthquakes app good for

Nice to see where the quakes are. I would like to see more info on the Tsunami warnings.
Makes one aware that Mother Earth is far more than a dead chunk of dirt and stone
Neat app for everyone interested and a must If you live in an exposed area.
Its an really amazing app. Its so interesting and informative. I love to know whats going on with our planet.
Thus app gives me added piece of mind while living on the Pacific Coast of British Colombia. We are directly exposed to the ocean, and this app is the only tsunami warning that me and our family have to alert us. It gives me comfort knowing I will be alerted immediately at the moment an earthquake is registered.
This is a great App for keeping on top of your situation if you live in an area where thats seismically active. That works great. In iPad it DOES NOT rotate to give you a view of the earth with all quakes noted as it does on my iPhone. So, there are weak points, also the meteorological portion should be dropped, or simply have its own App where those features can be more fully utilized. As it is now it gives the impression of a half thought out.

Some bad moments

Do NOT get this app!! They secretly charge you for every alert it sends you. I will be reporting this app to apple as a scam.
The map only displays the location of one earthquake at a time. To be able to see patterns, you need to be able to map multiple quakes. The USGS web site is much more useful.
When the program and coup phone card appears and takes off after a few seconds. The program closes
Thanks for improving the 2+ mag notifications but still not working good the geografic distance from the location point, if you try to set set less than 5203 km range it loses setting every time, pls fix it and will be a great app
What the positive reviews are about is confusing to me. There are several problems with iEarthquakes: 1) It is not possible to input a specific location. The app is designed to force you to reveal your exact location or the app cannot be used! What the hell? 2) If you touch the funnel looking icon? you can determine the distance out from you location on which quakes will be reported. This sounds nice but at the farthest range you have to choose between 500 miles or 5000 miles. No in between. That is a serious gap. The funnel icon also also has a space where you can enter your location. However it does not work. 3) If you touch the globe looking icon it pulls up a map of the planet and there is no way to exit this map. You have to quite the app and start again. What? There are other problems with this app. Listed here is just three glaring issues the developer needs to fix. For now save your money and look for better developed quake apps. Message to the developer: you need to stop charging money for this app.
Amazingly detailed timely information about seismic activity worldwide, at your fingertips. Includes a tsunami warning which is why I have the app since I live near the coast!
